“There are really only two stops here on three. The east and west wings are currently unfinished, reserved for future expansion, so we’ll stay to the center. To the rear of the building is the Deputy Mayor’s office.”
“The Deputy Mayor is currently on a fact-finding mission, so Darren has volunteered to fill in, meeting with a concerned citizen, played by Jan.”
“Across the hall, to building-front, is my domain.”
“Welcome to the Mayor’s office. I want to go on record as saying that when any member of my constituency brings an issue to me, they will have my full attention, and my promise to do my best to resolve these issues for the maximum benefit of all of Pleasantview’s citizens.”
“Just off the main office is my conference room, where I meet with my most trusted advisors to help me serve the citizenry as best I can.”
“Here, we discuss an evacuation plan in the event of extraterrestrial invasion. Don’t laugh! Those rumors out of Strangetown? Trust me… they’re not just rumors.”
“Perhaps my favorite perk of being Mayor is my office balcony. From here, I have a fabulous view of much of this town that I love so dearly.”
“I can even see my house from here. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that I only live a block away.”
“And the crown jewel of our Town Hall is the clock tower, which can be seen from nearly anywhere in the neighborhood.”
“Well, you know, the clock hasn’t actually run for about thirty years, so if you want to know what time it is, you’re better off carrying a watch. But twice a day, this beauty is right on time, and ready to let you know that it’s three o’clock!”
“That’s it for our tour. Hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for coming, and I’ll see you soon.”
